Duncan Yule vs Clint Owens

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Fraserview Convention Centre, Vancouver,  taking place on 26/12/2026:

Clearly Hands Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Duncan Yule (1 - 0) who hails from Regina, Canada and Clint Owens(6 - 8) from Ottawa, Canada.  Both Yule and Owens weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Wark, and the three ringside judges are Mike Messer, Kai Sundy and Seth Kinnon.  

Round 1: 

Yule is on target with a solid right uppercut to Owens's body.  
Yule digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Yule hits home with a right uppercut.  
Yule closes the distance.  Owens throws a left hook, but Yule clinches his opponent.  Owens is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Owens about fouling.  
Yule is on target with a right uppercut to Owens's body.  Yule clinches his opponent.  Yule is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Yule's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Yule closes the distance.  Owens throws a left hook, but Yule ties up his opponent.  Yule leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Owens throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Yule lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Yule lands a right hook.  Yule clinches his opponent.  Owens is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Yule is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Yule to stop fouling.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Owens's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Owens's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Owens's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Yule throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Yule leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Owens advances into close range.  Yule lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.
