Jose Ponciano vs Joaquin Saenz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Guanajuato promoted show at Mexico-Guanajuato Gym, Leon,  taking place on 05/12/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Guanajuato Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Ponciano (13 - 14 - 1) who hails from Irapuato, Mexico and Joaquin Saenz(12 - 4 - 6) from Irapuato, Mexico.  Both Ponciano and Saenz weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Principe, and the three ringside judges are Alvino Villavicencio, Berto Escajeda and Juan Gusman.
