Garion Carp vs Alfons Jungels

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Hermann-Gieseler-Halle, Dresden,  taking place on 16/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Garion Carp (11(4) - 0) who hails from Essen, Germany and Alfons Jungels(8 - 10(1) - 4) from Hamburg, Germany.  Both Carp and Jungels weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Geoff Strahm, and the three ringside judges are Eldwin Betker, Odhert Jahr and Adelhard Hellmann.  

Round 1: 

Carp is on target with a right hook.  Carp ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carp pushes his forearm into Jungels's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Carp to stop fouling.  
Carp pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jungels throws a left hook, but Carp holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Carp pushes his forearm into Jungels's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Carp.  
Carp connects with a left hook.  
Carp steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carp quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Jungels throws a left uppercut, but Carp holds on to his opponent.  Carp hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Carp.  
Carp lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carp lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Carp drives a left hook into Jungels's ribs.  
Jungels is looking to close the distance.  Carp pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Carp connects with a right uppercut.  
Carp lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Carp drives a right hook into Jungels's body.  
Carp is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Jungels closes the distance and manouvers Carp into the corner.  Carp lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Carp is on target with a firm right hook.  
Carp steps inside and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Carp gets on the inside.  Carp sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Carp is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Carp clinches his opponent.  Carp is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Carp's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carp lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Carp circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Jungels hits home with a right uppercut.  
Carp advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jungels's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Jungels's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Carp hits home with a left hook.  Carp holds on to his opponent.  Carp leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carp is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Carp steps inside.  Carp quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carp drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  Carp holds on to his opponent.  Carp is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carp steps inside.  Jungels throws a left hook, but Carp clinches his opponent.  Carp is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Carp sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carp closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Jungels lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Carp lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Carp steps inside and lands a solid left hook.

Carp is on target with a left hook.  
Carp lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Carp is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS JUNGELS DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Carp!
