Mfon Nwapa vs Bature Babajaro

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Oyo State promoted show at Oyo Fodio, Oyo,  taking place on 17/11/2026:

Clearly AI Nigeria-Oyo State have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Oyo State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mfon Nwapa (7 - 10 - 4) who hails from Ibadan, Nigeria and Bature Babajaro(3 - 4 - 2) from Ibadan, Nigeria.  Both Nwapa and Babajaro weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jay-Jay Njoku, and the three ringside judges are Chigozie Fregene, Zain Yousuf and Juwon Asonze.

Babajaro manouvers Nwapa into a corner.  Babajaro pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.
