Blake Hume vs Siraj Karayev

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 16/01/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Blake Hume (11 - 3) who hails from Newcastle, Australia and Siraj Karayev(19(13) - 10(10)) from Toshkent, Uzbekistan.  Both Hume and Karayev weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Tarbert, and the three ringside judges are Gareth Dovey, John Lewis and Johnny Elias.  

Round 1: 

Hume steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Karayev blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents body.
