John Callison vs Michael McPhie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arkansas promoted show at Robinson Center, Little Rock,  taking place on 01/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Callison (14(7) - 2(1)) who hails from Rockford, USA and Michael McPhie(13 - 3(1)) from Chesapeake, USA.  Both Callison and McPhie weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Stachowski, and the three ringside judges are Tariq Basher, Sam Vannett and Clint Blagg.  

Round 1: 

McPhie is on target with a spiteful jab.  
McPhie attempts to land a cross, but Callison sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
McPhie steps inside.  Callison connects with a left hook.  
Callison lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Callison is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a stinging cross.

McPhie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Callison tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
McPhie steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Callison lands a firm left hook.  
McPhie is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab.  
McPhie gets on the inside and manages to force Callison onto the ropes.  Callison is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  MCPHIE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
The right shot from Callison could be enough to force the stoppage!  Callison lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES MCPHIE!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like McPhie has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
McPhie pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Callison attempts to land a jab, but McPhie blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Callison's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Callison's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McPhie's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
