Zacarias Atilano vs Angel Monterroso

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 20/12/2026:

Clearly Rourke & Salvador have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Zacarias Atilano (4 - 1) who hails from Duque de Cazias, Brazil and Angel Monterroso(10 - 14 - 3) from Curitiba, Brazil.  Both Atilano and Monterroso weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jax Carlos, and the three ringside judges are Diego Dente, Jax Carlos and Fraco Montano.  

Round 1: 

Monterroso throws a right hook, but Atilano clinches his opponent.  Atilano pushes his forearm into Monterroso's face.  The ref breaks Atilano's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Atilano attempts to land a cross, but Monterroso blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Atilano steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Atilano is on target with a left uppercut.  
Monterroso lands a right hook.  
Atilano cuts off the ring, trapping Monterroso in the red corner.  Atilano lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Atilano clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Atilano pushes his forearm into Monterroso's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Atilano steps to the outside and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Atilano tries to land a cross, but Monterroso blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Atilano is looking to close the distance.  Atilano pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

Monterroso pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab to Atilano's body.
