Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Sixto Escobar Stadium, San Juan,  taking place on 25/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro El Pirolitico Merino (18 - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Sam Porter(21 - 6(3) - 2) from Ottawa, Canada.  Both Merino and Porter weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fausto Pinero, and the three ringside judges are Ricardo Montemayor, Xaverius Rueda and Paco Sebastian.
