Hisao Sakurai vs Shinji Kuroda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Hitoshi Ito Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 23/12/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Osaka Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hisao Sakurai (11 - 7) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Shinji Kuroda(11 - 5 - 4) from Osaka, Japan.  Sakurai weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while Kuroda weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Goda, and the three ringside judges are Akira Ando, Jun Nakahara and Aoi Nishikawa.
