An Ung vs Keiichi Takahashi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Kashiwa Horiuchi, Kashiwa,  taking place on 23/12/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Chiba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are An Ung (13(6) - 1) who hails from Qingdao, China and Keiichi Takahashi(11 - 0) from Saitama, Japan.  Ung weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces, while Takahashi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Taro Sugawara, and the three ringside judges are Jun Usui, Yoshi Oh and Kenji Aoyama.  

Round 1: 

Takahashi tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Ung throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Ung clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Takahashi pushes his forearm into Ung's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Takahashi about fouling.
