Gareth Drennan vs Ovidio Cerrato

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Jenny Craig Pavilion, San Diego,  taking place on 27/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth Drennan (19(4) - 2(1)) who hails from Anaheim, USA and Ovidio Cerrato(14 - 9(3) - 2) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Drennan and Cerrato weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adam Reina, and the three ringside judges are Joey Catherwood, Nick Erskin and Michael Pride.  

Round 1: 

Drennan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cerrato lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Drennan steps inside and walks Cerrato into the blue corner.  Cerrato throws a left uppercut, but Drennan clinches his opponent.  Drennan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
