Vicente Islas vs Angel Gaona

Boxing Daily Report from the Raisian Promotions promoted show at Montel Solis Gym, Mexicali,  taking place on 26/12/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Islas (9 - 6 - 5) who hails from Ensenada, Mexico and Angel Gaona(10 - 13 - 2) from Mexicali, Mexico.  Both Islas and Gaona weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eloy Almeida, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Navarra, Joaquin Badillo and Xaver Castanon.  

Round 1: 

Islas closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gaona dabs at his face checking for damage.
