Rich Baisley vs Joel Sharer

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at Olympic Park Sports Hall, Sydney,  taking place on 14/12/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rich Baisley (4 - 0) who hails from Newcastle, Australia and Joel Sharer(2 - 1) from Perth, Australia.  Both Baisley and Sharer weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Morgan Durie, and the three ringside judges are Rob Lyle, Michael Pac and Davie Farney.

Baisley digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Baisley throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Baisley is looking to close the distance.  Baisley lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sharer dabs at his face checking for damage.

Sharer throws a right hook, but Baisley clinches his opponent.  Baisley uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Sharer's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Baisley about fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sharer's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sharer's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Sharer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
