Venacio Costilla vs Ramiro Leiva

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Coyote Nightclub, Asuncion,  taking place on 17/01/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Venacio Costilla (12(4) - 1) who hails from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay and Ramiro Leiva(5 - 11 - 6) from Asuncion, Paraguay.  Both Costilla and Leiva weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ricardo Rita, and the three ringside judges are Diego Baez, Montel Macias and Montel Requena.  

Round 1: 

Costilla gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Leiva throws a left uppercut, but Costilla clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Costilla pushes his forearm into Leiva's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Costilla about fouling.
