Drud Kurr vs Abe Marcussen

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Jacob Gym, Munich,  taking place on 26/12/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The German Giant Drud Kurr (17(11) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Abe Marcussen(5 - 19(2) - 3) from Stuttgart, Germany.  Kurr weighed in at 248 pounds and 4 ounces, while Marcussen weighed in at 225 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bannruod Aken, and the three ringside judges are Berowalt Manweiler, Wilber Sapper and Bernie Judd.  

Round 1: 

Marcussen gets on the inside.  Kurr lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Kurr sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Marcussen throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Kurr finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent.  Kurr feints a jab, and then lands a firm overhand left.  
Kurr tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Kurr lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Kurr lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Marcussen forces Kurr to retreat onto the ropes.  Kurr lands a solid jab.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and is on target with a spiteful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE MARCUSSEN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Marcussen recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Marcussen hits home with a left hook.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Kurr steps to the outside and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Kurr is on target with a jab.  
Kurr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, an overhand right to the head and a cross to the head.  
Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab.

Marcussen closes the distance.  Kurr connects with a right hook.  
Kurr is on target with a jab.  Kurr attempts to land a cross, but Marcussen blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Marcussen steps inside.  Kurr lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Kurr holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kurr pushes his forearm into Marcussen's face.  The referee warns Kurr and breaks the clinch.  
Kurr hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Kurr tries to step out of his opponents range and lands with a hard jab.

Marcussen steps inside and walks Kurr down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kurr lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Marcussen closes the distance and manages to force Kurr onto the ropes.  Kurr hits home with a solid right uppercut.  Kurr holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Kurr pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Marcussen quickly recovers. 
Marcussen advances into close range.  Kurr is on target with a left uppercut to Marcussen's body.  
Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Kurr lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Marcussen is on target with a cross.  
Marcussen steps inside.  Kurr lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Kurr switches the action to the outside.  Kurr knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Kurr lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS MARCUSSEN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Marcussen now seems to have his senses back.

Marcussen is looking to close the distance.  Kurr digs in a right hook to Marcussen's ribcage.  
Kurr lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Kurr clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Kurr's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Kurr is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Kurr lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Marcussen looks like he is out on his feet here...he's unable to defend against these shots!.  He gets hit again flush, and the ref steps in!  He's seen enough!  The winner by TKO is Kurr!
