Darragh McCracken vs Kieran McCardle

Boxing Daily Report from the Mzima Promotions promoted show at Dublin Cavanagh, Dublin,  taking place on 30/12/2026:

Clearly Mzima Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Darragh McCracken (5 - 11 - 5) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Kieran McCardle(4 - 5(1)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McCracken and McCardle weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brett Rabbitt, and the three ringside judges are Leon Mohan, Gareth Byrne and Leeroy MacEwan.  

Round 1: 

McCardle lands a jab.  
McCardle is looking to close the distance.  McCardle pivots to the side of his opponent.  McCracken hits home with a right hook.  
McCracken is looking to close the distance.  McCardle digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
McCardle drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.

McCracken closes the distance.  McCardle pivots to the left of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McCracken dabs at his face checking for damage.

McCardle attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends McCracken to the neutral corner.  He warns McCardle to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  McCracken has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
McCardle lands a jab.  
McCracken feints a cross, and then hits home with a left hook.
