Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Eastern Cape promoted show at iBhayi Van Heerden, iBhayi,  taking place on 28/12/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa-Eastern Cape Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Phiri (9 - 1) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Luvolwethu Sangweni(11 - 1) from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  Phiri weighed in at 135 pounds, while Sangweni weighed in at 134 pounds And 12 ounces.
