Diego Baena vs Joaquin Quijas

Boxing Daily Report from the Joram Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Candella, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/12/2026:

Clearly Joram Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay-Montevideo Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Baena (10 - 5 - 2) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Joaquin Quijas(8 - 12) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Baena and Quijas weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Pecha, and the three ringside judges are Manuel Santos, Rico Rogero and Baltasar Regal.
