Tang Hien vs Ky Cuong

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Vietnam-North promoted show at Hanoi Tu, Hanoi,  taking place on 03/12/2026:

Clearly AI Vietnam-North have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Vietnam Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on VT6, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tang Hien (4 - 13(2) - 4) who hails from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Ky Cuong(10 - 3 - 2) from Hanoi, Vietnam.  Hien weighed in at 113 pounds and 12 ounces, while Cuong weighed in at 112 pounds.    As Hien came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ly Ngai, and the three ringside judges are Co Duc, Tu Hien and Hoang Thuan.  

Round 1: 

Cuong advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Cuong pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cuong quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to Hien's body.

Hien pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Cuong lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hien quickly recovers.

Cuong manouvers Hien onto the ropes.  Cuong drives a weighty left uppercut into Hien's body.  HIEN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!
