Daniel Handyside vs Cole Abbott

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 29/12/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daniel Handyside (10 - 4 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Cole Abbott(2 - 0) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Handyside and Abbott weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Vert, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Dallis, Ruki Kohu and Noel Haxton.
