Agape Gikas vs Asopus Panos

Boxing Daily Report from the Ancient Isle Boxing promoted show at Heraklion Andreadis, Heraklion,  taking place on 13/01/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Agape Gikas (0 - 1 - 1) who hails from Athens, Greece and Asopus Panos(6 - 1) from Patrai, Greece.  Gikas weighed in at 228 pounds And 3 ounces, while Panos weighed in at 231 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Priam Spanos, and the three ringside judges are Phantasos Sica, Thadeus Zacharias and Archemorus Callas.  

Round 1: 

Panos closes the distance.  Panos pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Panos feints a cross, and then drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Panos gets on the inside.  Panos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Panos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gikas attempts to land a left uppercut, but Panos dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Gikas's body.  
Panos lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Panos gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Panos lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gikas throws a right hook, but Panos holds on to his opponent.  Panos pushes his forearm into Gikas's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gikas is looking to close the distance.  Panos lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Panos lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gikas feints a cross, but Panos does not fall for it and lands with a left uppercut.  
Panos advances into close range and manages to force Gikas onto the ropes.  Panos pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Gikas's ribs.  
Panos closes the distance.  Gikas throws a left uppercut, but Panos clinches his opponent.  Panos pushes his forearm into Gikas's face.  The referee warns Panos and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gikas's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Panos is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gikas throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Panos gets on the inside.  Gikas digs in a right hook to Panos's body.  
Panos steps inside and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Panos is looking to keep his distance.  Gikas hits home with a cross.  
Panos lands a jab.
