Xabat Leanos vs Xavier Betances

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Charo, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/01/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay-Montevideo Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xabat Leanos (10 - 8) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Xavier Betances(13 - 5(1) - 1) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Leanos and Betances weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neron Villarruel, and the three ringside judges are Juan Polino, Montego Civil and Diego Chirinos.  

Round 1: 

Betances advances into close range and tries to land a right hook, but Leanos blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
