Joaquin Pelayo vs Zelipe Mellado

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Parque Palermo, Montevideo,  taking place on 14/01/2027:

Clearly Rourke & Salvador have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports Latin America, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Pelayo (10(1) - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Zelipe Mellado(12 - 0) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Pelayo weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces, while Mellado weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neron Archibeque, and the three ringside judges are Reyes Olmedo, Joaquin Santin and Desiderio Cuesta.
