Xing-fu Trieu vs Quon Wie

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Chaoyang Park, Beijing,  taking place on 09/01/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Starsports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xing-fu Trieu (13 - 8(1) - 2) who hails from Shenzhen, China and Quon Wie(21(9) - 5(3) - 1(NC)) from Hengyang, China.  Both Trieu and Wie weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ye Yuen, and the three ringside judges are Huang-fu Yue, Yuan Hsu and Wu-pen Zeng.  

Round 1: 

Wie closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Wie manouvers Trieu into a neutral corner.  Wie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Wie advances into close range.  Trieu throws a left hook, but Wie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Wie pushes his forearm into Trieu's face.  The ref breaks Wie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wie lands a sharp left hook.  
Trieu is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Wie lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Wie advances into close range and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Wie ties up his opponent.  Wie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch.
