Vikenti Mayorov vs Joshua McCrory

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Event City, Manchester,  taking place on 09/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vikenti Mayorov (5(2) - 0) who hails from Lviv, Ukraine and Joshua McCrory(6 - 2 - 2) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Both Mayorov and McCrory weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brian Hall, and the three ringside judges are Euan Culbertson, Johnny Finn and Chris MacGibbon.  

Round 1: 

Mayorov advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McCrory sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McCrory throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
McCrory tries to land a jab, but Mayorov parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Mayorov steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mayorov ties up his opponent.  Mayorov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCrory throws a left hook, but Mayorov holds on to his opponent.  Mayorov is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Mayorov pushes his forearm into McCrory's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mayorov about fouling.  
Mayorov digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
McCrory lands a jab.
