Quinto Luz vs Brin Mattix

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 06/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Setanta Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Quinto Luz (22(15) - 1(1)) who hails from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic and Brin Mattix(1 - 4 - 4) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Luz weighed in at 117 pounds and 11 ounces, while Mattix weighed in at 117 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Eoin McCadden, and the three ringside judges are Rory Finnegan, Joshua MacCarthy and Leeroy MacEwan.  

Round 1:

Mattix steps inside and manouvers Luz onto the ropes.  Luz lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Mattix closes the distance.  Luz lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, DROPPING MATTIX TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Mattix now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Mattix steps inside.  Luz lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Luz wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mattix dabs at his face checking for damage.
