Vicente Canal vs Desiderio Cubas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Distrito Capital promoted show at Bogota Ronquillo, Bogota,  taking place on 30/12/2026:

Clearly AI Colombia-Distrito Capital have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Vicente Canal (0 - 0) who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia and Desiderio Cubas(1 - 1) from Bogota, Colombia.  Canal weighed in at 147 pounds, while Cubas weighed in at 146 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Leonardo Castano, and the three ringside judges are Rio Lastra, Baltasar Cuadrado and Alejandro Manuel.

Canal closes the distance.  Cubas throws a right hook, but Canal clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Canal pushes his forearm into Cubas's face.  The referee warns Canal and breaks the clinch.

Cubas throws a right hook, but Canal holds on to his opponent.  Canal leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Canal walks Cubas down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Canal lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Canal hits home with a solid left hook.  
Canal lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.
