Neper Palomares vs Fidel Cara

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Aviva Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 30/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBO Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Neper Palomares (16 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Cebu City, Philippines and Fidel Cara(30(28) - 1(1)) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  Both Palomares and Cara weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lewis MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Steven Stewart, Brandon Whalen and Roy Clery.  

Round 1: 

Cara closes the distance.  Cara pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Palomares steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Cara slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Cara advances into close range and manages to force Palomares onto the ropes.  Cara lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Cara lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cara steps inside and forces Palomares to retreat into a neutral corner.  Cara digs in a firm right hook to Palomares's body.

Cara advances into close range.  Palomares connects with a stinging left hook.

Cara feints a jab, tricking Palomares into launching a cross counter.  Cara springs the trap and counters with  a VICIOUS right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE PALOMARES WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Palomares quickly recovers. 
Cara digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.
