Saber Lafon vs Oliver Duchamp

Boxing Daily Report from the Angry Rabbits promoted show at Mulhouse Galliard, Mulhouse,  taking place on 17/01/2027:

Clearly Angry Rabbits have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the France-Alsace Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Saber Lafon (17(3) - 3) who hails from Mulhouse, France and Oliver Duchamp(9 - 9 - 3) from Mulhouse, France.  Both Lafon and Duchamp weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jesper Dauphin, and the three ringside judges are Demont Beaubien, Acelin Ort and Tugdual Baxa.  

Round 1: 

Duchamp quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lafon lands a stinging jab.  
Lafon gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Lafon is on target with a sharp cross.  
Lafon is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Lafon lands a left hook.  
Lafon is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Duchamp's liver.  Lafon ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Lafon pushes his forearm into Duchamp's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lafon closes the distance.  Lafon lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As Lafon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Duchamp dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Lafon gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Lafon hits home with a right hook.  Lafon clinches his opponent.  Lafon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lafon connects with a right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Lafon has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Lafon steps inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Lafon clinches his opponent.  Duchamp is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lafon is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Lafon lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Duchamp cuts off the ring, trapping Lafon on the ropes.  Lafon finds the target with a jab.  Lafon throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lafon lands a cross.  
Duchamp voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Lafon tries to tag Duchamp on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Lafon closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lafon lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lafon is on target with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Duchamp's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Duchamp's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Duchamp's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
