Jiro Kondo vs Kazuhiko Sugawara

Boxing Daily Report from the Nottinggham Promotions promoted show at Ichiro Mikami Gym, Sendai,  taking place on 23/12/2026:

Clearly Nottinggham Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jiro Kondo (8 - 11(1) - 1) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Kazuhiko Sugawara(7 - 10(1) - 2) from Sendai, Japan.  Kondo weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Sugawara weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nao Arakaki, and the three ringside judges are Nao Arakaki, Hiroki Noda and Satoru Nishimoto.
