Carlos Nolasco vs Lorenzo Paz

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Ginasio Antonio Prado Junior, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 01/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carlos Cafezinho Nolasco (13 - 10) who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Lorenzo Paz(7 - 10(1) - 4) from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  Both Nolasco and Paz weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Moraes, and the three ringside judges are Gonzalo Pimentel, Ricardo Gonsalez and Neper Maciel.  

Round 1: 

Paz hits home with an overhand right.  
Paz manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Paz sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Paz is looking to close the distance.  Paz pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nolasco tries to land a left hook, but Paz blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Paz steps inside.  Paz voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Nolasco is whaling away with hooks, but Paz keeps his defence tight.
