Hitoshi Uyehara vs Hisoka Funai

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Ariake Coliseum, Tokyo,  taking place on 13/02/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hitoshi Uyehara (6(2) - 1) who hails from Hirakata, Japan and Hisoka Funai(9 - 5(1)) from Saitama, Japan.  Uyehara weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces, while Funai weighed in at 174 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Eiji Mizuno, and the three ringside judges are Ichiro Koizumi, Yuji Tsutsumi and Ryo Shiroma.
