Rabiu Akpovi vs Rehman Fareedi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Oyo State promoted show at Ibadan Kyari, Ibadan,  taking place on 24/01/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Oyo State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rabiu Akpovi (10 - 8(1) - 2) who hails from Ogbomosho, Nigeria and Rehman Fareedi(10 - 6 - 2) from Ibadan, Nigeria.  Akpovi weighed in at 159 pounds and 11 ounces, while Fareedi weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juwon Asonze, and the three ringside judges are Irfan Younan, Ikechukwu Gberu and Ikechukwu Gberu.
