Asif Shaer vs Hugh Akanji

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Lagos State promoted show at Lagos Adelaye, Lagos,  taking place on 25/01/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Lagos State Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Asif Shaer (12 - 5) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Hugh Akanji(14 - 7 - 3) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Both Shaer and Akanji weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ifeanyi Ukpai, and the three ringside judges are Olufemi Udah, Aftab Awad and Kamran Muhammed.
