Gethin Maboso vs Alen Mbeki

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Soweto Ncita, Soweto,  taking place on 31/12/2026:

Clearly AI South Africa-Gauteng have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Maboso (7 - 13 - 4) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Alen Mbeki(7 - 9 - 6) from Soshanguve, South Africa.  Both Maboso and Mbeki weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luvolwethu Khumalo, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Nyauza, Kyan Majola and Tshepo Nqakula.
