Balder Varn vs Frank Welander

Boxing Daily Report from the Valhalla promotions promoted show at Stockholm Concert Centre, Stockholm,  taking place on 06/03/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Sweden Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Balder Varn (13(6) - 1(1)) who hails from Stockholm, Sweden and Frank Welander(10 - 3 - 1) from Malmo, Sweden.  Varn weighed in at 159 pounds And 2 ounces, while Welander weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Landsberg, and the three ringside judges are Viktor Lindstrand, Gustav Renstrom and Per Thun.  

Round 1: 

Varn hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Varn closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Varn holds on to his opponent.  Varn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Welander throws a left uppercut, but Varn ties up his opponent.  Welander is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Welander about fouling.  
Varn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Welander hits home with a right hook.  
Varn closes the distance and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Varn lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Welander attempts to land a jab, but Varn blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Varn manouvers Welander onto the ropes.  Varn lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Varn holds on to his opponent.  Varn pushes his forearm into Welander's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Varn.  
Varn lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.
