Valentin Bastyr vs Loredo Resendez

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Main Street Armory, Rochester,  taking place on 06/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Valentin Bastyr (10(1) - 0) who hails from Plzen, Czech Republic and Loredo Resendez(10 - 11(3) - 1) from Torreon, Mexico.  Bastyr weighed in at 115 pounds, while Resendez weighed in at 114 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Perry, and the three ringside judges are Bart Budge, Davie Cleary and Peter Gatti.  

Round 1: 

Bastyr gets on the inside.  Bastyr pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bastyr lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Bastyr clinches his opponent.  Resendez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Resendez and breaks the clinch.  
Bastyr lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bastyr pivots to the side of his opponent.  Resendez throws a left hook, but Bastyr holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Bastyr's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bastyr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bastyr leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Resendez tries to land a right uppercut, but Bastyr parries the shot and counters with a right hook to Resendez's body.  
Bastyr connects with a left hook.  
Bastyr closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bastyr throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Bastyr's body.

Resendez pivots to the right of his opponent.  Resendez throws a left hook, but Bastyr clinches his opponent.  Bastyr tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Resendez behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bastyr to stop fouling.
