Hakara Rikirangi vs Theo Duane

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Main Street Armory, Rochester,  taking place on 06/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Hakara Rikirangi (3 - 0) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Theo Duane(10 - 9 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  Rikirangi weighed in at 147 pounds, while Duane weighed in at 146 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bart Budge, and the three ringside judges are Michael Perry, Davie Cleary and Peter Gatti.  

Round 1: 

Rikirangi advances into close range.  Duane throws a left hook, but Rikirangi holds on to his opponent.  Rikirangi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

As Rikirangi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Duane dabs at his face checking for damage.
