Clint Ruan vs Chris Whittet

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at Auckland Much, Auckland,  taking place on 28/01/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Clint Ruan (12 - 4) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Chris Whittet(9 - 0) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Ruan and Whittet weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Horsburgh, and the three ringside judges are Dave Forbush, Kyle Stine and Antwan Vaughan.  

Round 1: 

Whittet closes the distance.  Whittet pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Whittet steps inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Whittet drives a solid right hook into Ruan's body.  
Ruan is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Whittet dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Whittet gets on the inside and walks Ruan into the blue corner.  Whittet hits home with a right hook.  
Ruan lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ruan is looking to keep his distance.  Whittet lands a stiff jab.  Whittet tries to land a jab, but Ruan slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Whittet lands with a solid jab.  
Whittet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Whittet advances into close range.  Whittet pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ruan's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ruan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ruan finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Whittet closes the distance.  Ruan lands a left hook.  
Whittet pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whittet closes the distance and forces Ruan to back into the red corner.  Ruan is on target with a right uppercut.  Whittet wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
