Nick Roberto vs Sam Spaulding

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at San Antonio Abella, San Antonio,  taking place on 31/01/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Texas Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nick Roberto (8 - 11 - 4) who hails from Dallas, USA and Sam Spaulding(7 - 7 - 3) from San Antonio, USA.  Both Roberto and Spaulding weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Orlando Merlin, and the three ringside judges are Faisal Rasul, Robert Corfield and James Galbraith.  

Round 1: 

Spaulding closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Roberto connects with a left hook.  
Spaulding steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Roberto steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Roberto hits home with a cross.
