Nicholas Ereng vs Ian Longosiwa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Mombasa Timbilil, Mombasa,  taking place on 05/02/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Mombasa Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicholas Ereng (10 - 9(2) - 4) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Ian Longosiwa(8 - 0) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Ereng weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces, while Longosiwa weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lisimba Dalrymple, and the three ringside judges are Dembe Mutunga, Nwa Lugano and George Waciuma.  

Round 1: 

Longosiwa steps inside and drives a left uppercut into Ereng's body.

Longosiwa steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Longosiwa is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Ereng steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Ereng lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Longosiwa closes the distance.  Longosiwa lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Longosiwa has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
