Kei Nomura vs Hikaru Saiki

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 15/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kei Nomura (1 - 0) who hails from Toyota, Japan and Hikaru Saiki(1 - 6 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Nomura weighed in at 167 pounds and 4 ounces, while Saiki weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nori Tamanaha, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Shibuya, Dai Ishikawa and Hisoka Yamamoto.  

Round 1: 

Nomura hits home with a stiff jab.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nomura dabs at his face checking for damage.  Nomura has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
