Ahmed Akel vs Sammy Meng

Boxing Daily Report from the Rooq Promotions promoted show at Berjaya Convention Centre, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 22/02/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Johor Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ahmed Akel (12 - 4 - 2) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Sammy Meng(2 - 7 - 2) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Akel weighed in at 105 pounds, while Meng weighed in at 104 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Saad Hassan, and the three ringside judges are Shayan Hossain, Farhan Younis and Saad Hassan.
