Otto Sandbach vs Lew Dengler

Boxing Daily Report from the Cherkoian Promotions promoted show at Tabor Marschner Gym, Braunschweig,  taking place on 17/02/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany-Lower Saxony Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Otto Sandbach (7 - 3 - 3) who hails from Braunschweig, Germany and Lew Dengler(12 - 8 - 5) from Hanover, Germany.  Sandbach weighed in at 239 pounds and 5 ounces, while Dengler weighed in at 237 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Burk Alberding, and the three ringside judges are Ivo Giedd, Burk Alberding and Baltasar Markert.  

Round 1: 

Dengler forces Sandbach to retreat into a neutral corner.  Dengler connects with a cross.  
Dengler tries to keep the action at long range and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Dengler's ribs.  
Sandbach steps inside.  Sandbach pivots to the side of his opponent.  Dengler connects with a right hook.  
Sandbach is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sandbach goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Dengler's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Dengler finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sandbach's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Sandbach's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Dengler's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
