Vicente Narez vs Oro Varona

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Cortes promoted show at Marjun Noguera Gym, San Pedro Sula,  taking place on 18/02/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras-Cortes Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Narez (5 - 8 - 2) who hails from San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Oro Varona(2 - 0) from Choloma, Honduras.  Both Narez and Varona weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Francisco Millian, and the three ringside judges are Hernan Barrantes, Iago Feliz and Angel Olivero.  

Round 1: 

Varona gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Varona ties up his opponent.  Varona pushes his forearm into Narez's face.  The referee warns Varona and breaks the clinch.  
Narez steps away from his opponent.  Varona contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Narez throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Varona gets on the inside and forces Narez to back into a corner.  Varona lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Varona clinches his opponent.  Varona leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Narez throws a left hook, but Varona ties up his opponent.  Varona leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Narez is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Varona!
