Villiers Duchamp vs Aftab Karimi

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Palais de la Culture Niangoran Porquet Hall, Abidjan,  taking place on 02/02/2027:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Villiers Duchamp (2 - 0) who hails from Bouake, Ivory Coast and Aftab Karimi(3 - 6 - 3) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Duchamp and Karimi weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Percival Perec, and the three ringside judges are Remi Brunet, Briant Castile and Barbabe Pradon.  

Round 1: 

Duchamp connects with a solid left hook.  
Duchamp closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Karimi's liver.  Duchamp clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Duchamp pushes his forearm into Karimi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Duchamp.  
Duchamp connects with a right hook.  Duchamp ties up his opponent.  Karimi uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Duchamp behind the head. 
Karimi steps to the outside.  Duchamp lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Duchamp connects with a left hook.  
Duchamp throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Duchamp ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Duchamp pushes his forearm into Karimi's face.  The referee warns Duchamp and breaks the clinch.  
Duchamp manages to force Karimi into the corner.  Duchamp lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Duchamp hits home with a right hook.  
Duchamp gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Duchamp lands two left uppercuts followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Duchamp advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Duchamp lands a right hook.  Duchamp ties up his opponent.  Duchamp leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Duchamp dabs at his face checking for damage.  Duchamp has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Duchamp lands a cross.  Duchamp attempts to land a left hook, but Karimi blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Duchamp advances into close range and lands a sharp left hook.  Duchamp clinches his opponent.  Duchamp leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Duchamp uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Karimi behind the head. The referee warns Duchamp and breaks the clinch.
