Salim Dube vs Obaid Mousa

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at RFUEA Ground, Nairobi,  taking place on 25/02/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Salim Dube (2 - 0) who hails from Kitwe, Zambia and Obaid Mousa(5 - 4 - 3) from Naivasha, Kenya.  Dube weighed in at 232 pounds and 14 ounces, while Mousa weighed in at 224 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Kanyoro, and the three ringside judges are Paul Changeywo, Kashif Haque and Shaun Arusei.  

Round 1: 

Mousa forces Dube to retreat onto the ropes.  Dube lands a right hook to the body followed by two straights to the head.

Dube switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Dube tries to land a cross, but Mousa parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dube is looking to keep his distance and lands with a ramrod jab.

Mousa hits home with a left uppercut.  
Dube steps to the outside and connects with an overhand left.

Mousa tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a hurtful right hook.  MOUSA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mousa almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dube's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Mousa's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mousa's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Dube lands an overhand left followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Dube hits home with a solid cross.  
Dube steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Mousa gets on the inside.  Dube lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dube is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mousa gets on the inside.  Dube is on target with a right hook.  Dube clinches his opponent.  Dube leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dube lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND MOUSA IS DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Mousa cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Dube!
