Chris Wah vs Syed Haque

Boxing Daily Report from the Chiona Promotions promoted show at Waleed Greiss Gym, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 23/02/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Federal Territory Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Wah (12 - 1) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Syed Haque(15 - 5 - 2) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Wah and Haque weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ibrahim Mohammed, and the three ringside judges are Jawad Bangura, Obaid Ishmael and Rehman Saadeh.  

Round 1: 

Wah steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Haque sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Haque steps inside.  Haque sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wah hits home with a left uppercut.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Haque's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Haque's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Haque steps inside.  Haque is desperate to make more of an impact on his opponent.   He steps inside, but then strikes Wah with his head!  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  The ref ignores Wah's protests and signals for the action to continue!
