Boxing Daily Report from the Mugyenyi Promotions promoted show at Matamoros Mustafa, Matamoros,  taking place on 23/02/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Tamaulipas Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gabriel Montalvo (16 - 0) who hails from Reynosa, Mexico and Montel Minjarez(15 - 3(1) - 1) from Matamoros, Mexico.  Montalvo weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Minjarez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Badia, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Armando, Edmundo Tierno and Isidro Morena.
