Amer Mammeri vs Greg Bethell

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Yokohama Arena, Yokohama,  taking place on 03/04/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Amer Mammeri (3 - 0) who hails from Annaba, Algeria and Greg Bethell(12 - 4 - 3) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Mammeri and Bethell weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mitsuru Horiuchi, and the three ringside judges are Takeshi Furutani, Shinji Kiyabu and Ichiro Kita.  

Round 1: 

Mammeri is looking to close the distance and digs in a sharp right hook to Bethell's body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mammeri.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.

Bethell throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Some sustained pressure from Mammeri could be enough to finish Bethell!  Mammeri lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND SENDS BETHELL TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Bethell cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mammeri!
